Wow! I can't believe it's been since Christmas since I updated this blog. Sorry about that! Here's some stuff to keep in mind for the next few weeks for our club:
Tomorrow, Monday, Feb. 28 is the All-Whatcom County Rollerskating Party @ Lynden Skateway. If school is cancelled due to weather, Rollerskating will most likely be cancelled. It looks like a favorable forecast at this point, though. Skating starts at 6:00 and goes until 8:30. It is $4 or $6 for inline/deluxe skates. Parents are welcome to stay and friends are also welcome!
Father/Daughter Night is coming up on March 21. Details will go home with the girls at the next GEMS on March 7.
The rest of the calendar is as follows:
March 7 - regular GEMS
March 21 - Father/Daughter Night
no GEMS during spring break
April 11 - regular GEMS
April 25 - regular GEMS
May 1 - GEMS Sunday
May 2 - GEMS Finale (yes, this is only one week after the previous GEMS, because of some scheduling issues with Cadets, but we WILL meet two weeks in a row at the very end of our GEMS season.)
The girls have been invited to create artwork for the GEMS Sunday bulletin covers if they wish. They were given the right size paper last week. If they need another paper, just let me know. Those are due on March 21.
